My dear brothers of Enugu state, I wish to welcome U to the 6th meeting of this union after Election. On The 31st of May 2009. U made a decision on how the wheel of this union will be steered .U elected us into various offices with trust and with the intention of putting more light to this union.
To this effect, I and my team have been pushing every possible button to shaping it to best form.
We came into these offices at such a defining moment when old wounds were yet to be healed, a time that the practicality of our achieved peace was still hanging in the balance, a time when many people were very much in doubt over the existence of our union, a time when the falcons, could not hear the falconer and at a time when they said that without them, can cannot can in our union.
There was no hand over; all these writing materials, books; stamps, websites and other things are what we constructed as to stabilize the union.
Today , I can tell U with every assurance that Enugu state union Hamburg have come to stay , not in war but in peace ,unity and brotherhood.
We took this assignment that U gave us very serious and don´t want to disappoint U. Today, U is going to hear from our financial secretary on the money that U have paid so far into this new union. The treasure will tell U where this contributed cash is being paid into. (the safest Place on earth). The Executive secretary will tell U on our positive resonance to the calls of Enugu state Hamburg, on how we honor every invitation from individuals and association because a tithe for tat is a dog’s play. U can now witness decency and orderliness in this house, like in the British House of Commons .The provost is not looking at faces before discharging duties. When one person is talking, others will be listening and when talking, we only agree or disagree with ideas but not persons.
And for my ordinary self (chairman) , doing all that it takes to making sure that , the old things are gone and that new things are come, that what is worth doing should be done well .that all animals should be equal and no animal should be more equal than the other(egalite) . I am not a chairman for every mushroom gathering in Germany as to bask for publicity. I am a person that want stand with my people in need and in deed. Should any member of this union happen to be in problem tomorrow (not our portion), I will work tirelessly until success is achieved. These are all that we are doing for Enugu state and we not retiring because we not tired.
In the filed of modern technology, we are setting the pace , our website , www.enugu state union- Hamburg .Com is the first among others . Our project of helping motherless Babies homes in our state, sanitizing of Oji river disabled home will come into reality by next year. A reasonable capital will enable us to commission this project and that is what we are pushing for.
I will not like to sit down without sending to U these words. Do not allow any body to change Ur mind in doing what is good for Ur state. The mouth we use in criticizing , we can use it to praise , the heart that we use in hating, we can use it to love, and the eye that we use in envying ,we can use it to admire .God created Enugu state union Hamburg and we are the blessed children of the coal city state .
